Medical conferences are covered to learn about a medical problem you or a dependent has. Registration could possibly be funded through one's local Regional Center. And if a parent is a member of Lions, they my potentially assist. Don't limit to only the information I've provided here. Check with ALL local agencies, Rotary clubs, ARC .... any organization or group that has helping families as part of their mission. You could also hold a "private" fundraiser for family and friends to participate in. Most family members and friends want to help if given the opportunity. My nephew and niece have Chromosome 15q13.3 Microdeletion (there are around 100 people in the world with this.), AND Ectodermal Dysplasia. Of the 100 people they are the only two who have both. We are trying to go to the National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasia in Florida. Where they can meet up with geneticists and dermatologists, and dentists.
