My name is Camilla Downs.  I’m Mom to Lillian and Thomas Darnell and am a Special Needs Life Coach and the author of D iz for Different – One Woman’s Journey to Acceptance.

As a Special Needs Life Coach I inspire families and individuals with special needs to SOAR . . . By Providing and Defining Solutions, Opportunities, Abilities and Resources. I work with families to create and facilitate a Circle of Support for the family member with special needs and create a Life Quality Plan using person centered planning.

My six year old son, Thomas, cracks me up with his fantastic imagination and adds to my joy and happiness in an indescribable way!  Don’t get me wrong, though!  There are times when I’d like to pretend that I don’t know him and I wonder what I’ve gotten myself into with this sometimes “not so nice” young man!!

My ten year old daughter, Lillian, is a self proclaimed fairy angel and I happen to agree with her 100%.  Lillian is the spark that ignited the creation of the Turning Views Foundation and the Different iz Good movement.
